By hiring a stall at Wakefield Pride you agree to the following terms:
Diversity and Inclusion
Your organisation or business is expected to actively promote and uphold full inclusivity, creating a welcoming space for everyone within the LGBTQ+ community. Discrimination of any form will not be tolerated.
Stall Setup and Amenities
Wakefield Pride provides a stall space, typically 10ft x 4ft with a roof. These stalls can be purchased as a single unit or shared with another business (5ft each). Please note that electrical supply is not standard, unless specifically agreed upon in advance.
Operating Hours and Closure Policy
Your stall is expected to be open for the entirety of the event (12pm-8pm) unless an alternative arrangement has been mutually agreed upon and confirmed in writing with Wakefield Pride. Early closure or breakdown of your stall without prior approval may result in penalties or exclusion from future events.
Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited within the event area: glass, diesel or petrol generators, fuel, smoke machines or effects, amplified music, strobe lighting, confetti, and the sale of food and drink. Additionally, the distribution of items that cause excessive litter, such as stickers, plastic or fabric carrier bags, or confetti, is not allowed without consulting Wakefield Pride organisers.
Trading License and Compliance
Details regarding a trading license will be discussed as part of the application process. All stallholders are expected to adhere to local regulations and licensing requirements.
Fundraising and Community Support
While fundraising activities are generally not allowed, exceptions may be made for initiatives endorsed by Wakefield Pride. Engaging in activities such as offering services or products in exchange for donations or encouraging sign-ups for direct debits should be coordinated with and approved by Wakefield Pride organisers.
Subletting
Stalls must not be sublet to third parties without prior written consent from Wakefield Pride organisers. Any stall found to be sublet will be immediately closed, and no refund will be applicable.
Parking and Logistics
Designated time slots will be provided for unloading and loading within a few minutes' walk of the stall. Stallholders are responsible for arranging parking away from the Pride footprint for the duration of the event.
Insurance and Liability
Full Risk Assessment must be submitted and a minimum of £5 million in public liability insurance is mandatory for all stallholders. Proof of coverage and Risk Assessment must be submitted to Wakefield Pride organisers in advance of the event.
Waste Management
No waste services are provided. All stallholders must ensure that their stall area is left clean, and all rubbish is removed. Leaving rubbish on-site or near public bins constitutes fly-tipping, which may result in fines from local authorities.
Booking Details and Refund Policy
Stall applications can be made here. Once an offer is accepted, your application becomes a binding booking. No refunds are provided for canceled stalls.
Stall Management and Event Compliance
Stalls may not be sold, lent, transferred, or sublet to any other entity without explicit approval from Wakefield Pride organisers. The decisions of the Wakefield Pride team are final, and all stallholders are expected to comply with all reasonable requests from Wakefield Pride team members during the event. Non-compliance may result in exclusion from future events.
